Starting a new class can bring a range of emotions. Some children may feel excited, while others may feel nervous or uncertain, and many will experience a mixture of feelings. All of these emotions are completely normal and valid as they prepare for this important change.
Over the summer, please take the time to read through the transition booklets that have been emailed to you, and you can talk about the upcoming change. If your child is showing some worry, also attached is a story that was shared with school by the Mental Health Support Team, as part of their transition workshops. You can read through and add in how your child may feel, as well as talk about the different strategies they could use.
